New Currency Acceptors In Planet Antares Vending Machines

It has not been easy for Planet Antares vending operators to adapt vending machines to accept new currency designs. For many of them, it has resulted in a stressful and costly experience. To begin with, it is the bill changer which needs to be fitted to accept new currency designs. Modernized and updated bull changers that accept the new 5s, 10s and 20s are incorporated in Planet Antares vending machines.

There is also the issue of the one dollar coin which is in circulation within the machines. The aim of four and five dollar tube changers was to stimulate the flow of dollar coins throughout Planet Antares vending machines. This excludes validators but has been a great boon to stand alone changers.

Basically, three different issues need to be dealt with:
1. The dollar coin and its acceptance
2. The ability to pay out the dollar coin as change
3. The redesign of currency

Most of the operators would prefer to see the paper dollar bill eliminated. This is possible and would facilitate conversions of bill changers to take the new currency designs.

As a result, conversion kits have become very popular among Planet Antares vending operators and are in great demand. On the other hand, it can be quite expensive to purchase new bill changers.

Updating the bill validators is another issue of concern. The old validators are mostly 1s. To make them current, it will mean upgrading them to accept 5s, 10s and 20s. All new Planet Antares vending machines have been updated to accept the new currencies. The $5 bill has become more common in the Planet Antares vending transactions due to inflation.
